Mariah Carey recently posed a question to her daughter: If you could go shopping anywhere, where would it be? Her daughter, in a response that proved she’s one of the most relatable humans, chose — drumroll, please! —Target! (Because, hello, who wouldn’t?!)
Carey shared a pic of herself in full hair and makeup casually standing next to a Target shopping cart while her daughter, Monroe, sits in the cart.

She captioned the pic, “Me: pick anywhere in the world you want to go to for a shopping spree. My daughter:”
Carey went with her daughter’s choice, taking her eight-year-old on the shopping spree of her dreams.
Monroe’s dad, Nick Cannon, responded, “Exactly!!! That’s my daughter!!!” to the delight of many fans.
Carey’s fans loved the pic, including Andy Cohen who said, “Best ad for Target I’ve ever seen.”
Jennifer Hudson replied “Oh don’t me yal target bandits like me and my boys!!!!!” Even Target took a moment to comment, saying, “We belong together,” as a reference to Carey’s 2005 mega-hit.
Some fans also wondered what it would be like to be running errands and then bump into the musical legend. “How are those in the back acting so casual?! Cause that surely would NOT be us! #foreverfans,” wondered @kelinha82.
We bet that Mariah Carey ended her Target shopping trip just like the rest of us – with at least 50% more stuff than she originally planned on getting, but having no regrets about the purchases. That’s the magic of Target!
