The newest suspect in the 13-year-old Madeleine McCann case is claiming he had nothing to do with the 3-year-old’s disappearance. For those of you unfamiliar with Madeleine McCann, the 3-year-old went missing when she and her family were vacationing in Portugal.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, in 2007, McCann was reportedly asleep in her family’s condo with her younger siblings when she was kidnapped while her parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, were close by at a resort restaurant grabbing dinner with friends.
To this day no one knows what happened to Madeleine McCann.
However, earlier in June, it was revealed that 13 years after her kidnapping, German police had a new suspect in custody because he was already in jail for a separate child sex crime. According to the BBC, a now 43-year-old prisoner was allegedly living in a camper van just outside of the Portugal resort the McCann family was staying at the same time Madeleine disappeared.
It was also revealed The registration for the 1993 Jaguar XJR6 was transferred by the suspect to someone else the day after Madeleine’s disappearance. The suspect also reportedly received a phone call around the time of Madeleine’s disappearance that lasted for roughly 30 minutes.
However, according to The New York Post, the suspect, who has been identified as Christian Brückner, is denying any involvement in the kidnapping of Madeleine McCann. c
However, while the concrete evidence that proves Brückner is responsible for McCann’s passing has been kept a secret, some of the evidence found in his camper van has been made public, according to The Sun. It was revealed during a television special that the convicted sex offender kept kids’ clothes and swimwear in his mobile home.
And a former friend of Bückner’s also claimed that he once told him that “‘I can transport children, kids, in this space. Drugs and children, you can transport them in this van, it’s a safe space in the van, nobody can find them. Nobody can catch you.’”
He also reportedly told his friend that while he was there during McCann’s disappearance he had nothing to do with it.
