Luke Combs became a dad on Father’s Day after his wife, Nicole Hocking, gave birth to their first child together. Combs, 32, revealed on Instagram this past Tuesday how he and his wife welcomed a little boy this past weekend.
Luke Combs Welcomes First Baby Boy With Nicole Hocking
Posting his son’s name alongside their first family photo, Combs wrote, “Welp he decided that Fathers Day would be a good time to show up. I couldn’t agree more. Me and Nicole Combs are over the moon in love with this little guy. Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family. Life is good.”
“Everyone welcome Tex Lawrence Combs to the world,” the dad added. While Hocking, 29, posted the same photo on her Instagram, writing that it’s “going to be hard to top this past Father’s Day.”

“Welcome to the world, Tex Lawrence Combs. You are the best chillest angel boy and I’m so happy I was chosen to be your mom. These are the days,” the new mom continued.
Combs added to the comments section, writing, “You crushed it, my love!” The pair married in their home in southern Florida in August 2020. And before that, the two were engaged on November 29, 2018, after Luke proposed to Nicole at home.
Luke actually asked the big question to his future wife while they were moving into their first home together. He planned to put the ring on her cat’s collar but the cat had an “accident” on the way, he told fans via Instagram. So, he got down on one knee in their kitchen instead.

“Now that I’ve had time to let it sink in a little..,” Nicole captioned in an Instagram post of her shiny rock.
“I always said if I was to ever get married, I didn’t want to pick out the ring or go ring shopping. I wanted it to be something that when he saw it, he knew that it was the one.. & boyyyyyy did he out do himself. I never thought a ring could mean so much to me. I love you, Luke Albert Combs, I’m going to marry the h*** outta you.”
And then, of course, after the ring, the house, and the marriage, along came the baby! They announced they were expecting their first child in January, sharing snaps of themselves showing off their sonogram on Instagram.
