Lauren Bushnell Lane and Chris Lane‘s newborn son Dutton Walker is finally at home after a visit to the hospital caused a scare this past weekend.
“Home and resting! Thanks everyone for the prayers — hopefully we keep resting and getting better,” Lauren, 31, informed fans on Sunday night.
Just a few hours earlier, Chris, 36, had asked fans for prayers for Dutton. In a short clip posted to his Instagram Story, the dad revealed his son had been in the hospital overnight.
“If you pray, Dutty Buddy needs some prayers,” he wrote on the post. Lauren went on to reveal how Chris brought Dutton to the hospital on Sunday because they believed he had an ear infection.
“14 hours later we are home and resting,” she shared. “Basically [Dutton] has a common virus (basically a cold) and ear infection but with babies so small and under 28 days old they worry about meningitis and do a full workup / spinal tap.”
“Thankfully we just have to give him meds and keep an eye and pray it doesn’t turn respiratory or get any secondary infections,” she added. Lauren and Chris spoke in June about how they’ve adjusted to life as parents.

“I feel like you just have to laugh your way through. The moments of pure exhaustion have been challenging, but Chris is so sweet and helpful,” Lauren said.
“Especially with me nursing, there’s not a lot he can help with, so instead he’s been changing diapers, doing laundry, you name it. He’s really stepped up and I appreciate it.”
“I’m just really thankful that we have each other because at least there’s someone there with me to understand what we’re going through together.”
Chris added: “We make a good team. … My instinct is usually if Dutton starts crying in my arms, I take him straight to his mama and he stops immediately. She’s got the magic touch,” he said.
Just last week, the new mom asked for breastfeeding advice after posting a candid nursing photo.
“Part of me didn’t want to share this photo because it really isn’t a realistic representation of what breastfeeding has been like for me. It’s been hard and honestly painful at times and quite the opposite of glamorous,” Lauren began. But despite the challenges, when it comes to Dutton, it all is worth it.
“Even [though] the pain and frustration I can’t help but smile watching you. I have cherished this special time with you sweet Dutton and I am incredibly thankful for a healthy, growing baby ???? any moms please comment pumping/breastfeeding tips pls and thank u!”
