Lady Gaga is about to have a superfan in the audience of her Las Vegas show, but he might not be exactly what you’re expecting. Twitter user @boybehindthebricks, aka Whitney, recently surprised her Grandpa Jim with tickets to see Lady Gaga’s in May 2020 and the 66-year-old’s reaction is just the sweetest thing.

In the video, Grandpa Jim checks his calendar to make sure his schedule is clear for the May date before Whitney makes the surprise announcement: they’re going to see Lady Gaga in Las Vegas! Grandpa Jim responds with a look of pure awe, an “oh my gosh,” and a huge smile on his face.
Whitney commented on the video, saying “He’s never seen her before and she’s by far his favorite artist and it’s the most pure thing.”
Whitney had originally wanted to see Lady Gaga for her 21st birthday in October, but was unable to get tickets at a decent price. She and her Grandma Mary-Beth worked together to get tickets at a later date and decided to share the happy news with her Grandpa Jim on camera.
As a result of the video receiving more than 5 million views in just a few days, Whitney and her grandparents will receive VIP treatment at the show for their originally desired dates in October of this year. (Yes, this means Grandpa Jim will very likely get a chance to meet his favorite musician in the flesh!) Park MGM reached out directly on Twitter with the good news:
“After everything has blown up, the Park MGM has offered us flight, hotel, and meet and greet accommodations for an October show,” Whitney shared with PopSugar. Grandpa Jim deserves it!
