#1: You can’t get pregnant while on your period…

False, you can get pregnant during your period. Then as a side note, Bell let everyone know that you can also get pregnant in a hot tub, because that’s where she and husband Dax Shephard conceived their second daughter, Lincoln. She also added that both Lincoln and their oldest, Delta, were conceived at friends’ houses.

#2: Bigger is better?

Nope, not the case. According to Dr. Ross, on average a woman’s vagina is only about 3 to 4 inches long. However, it does expand when it is aroused. The size of a man’s penis, on average, is about 5.7 inches long and 4.8 centimeters in girth.

#3: Can diet affect your vagina?

To a certain extent. As Dr. Ross explained, foods like pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, melon, lemon, and cucumber will help a vagina smell and taste good. Foods like broccoli, brussel sprouts, garlic, onion, and cauliflowers are ones that should be avoided when thinking about the vagina.

#4: Is the vagina self-cleaning?

Kind of. Dr. Ross compared the vagina to an oven; while the inside of an oven is self-cleaning, the stovetop is not. And much like a vagina, while the interior is self-cleaning, it’s important to make sure the exterior portion of the vagina is clean, hydrated, and moisturized.

#5: Can you lose a tampon up there?

No, you can’t. It’s like a “sock,” “it has an endpoint.”

#6: Is it unsafe to have sex during pregnancy?

No, it’s not. In fact, “it’s completely safe” thanks to the sac the baby is wrapped in. And sex during late-term pregnant can help insight contractions!

And as if you thought there could be even more to learn about the female reproductive organ, the video continues with a Q&A session that shares even more information regarding the vagina.
