Last week, it was reported that Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her husband, Kroy Biermann, defaulted on their $1.65 million loan for their mansion in Alpharetta, Georgia – they took out the loan more than 10 years ago. As of right now, the bank plans on auctioning off the mansion to potential buyers on March 7.
According to PEOPLE, Zolciak-Biermann isn’t concerned about the notice and has no plans of moving or selling the home. Several sources alluded to the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star telling friends that the incident is nothing more than a ‘misunderstanding’ and that the issue is now ‘being sorted out.’
While they didn’t necessarily go into detail about what the misunderstanding was referring to, she did take to her Instagram Story to share a video of her and her husband going about their normal day-to-day routine – which included a video of Kroy vacuuming the home in nothing but a pair of black underpants.

She also posted a video showing off one of her favorite rooms in the home – the living room, which she calls the ‘Hollywood room.’ It’s fit with an incredibly beautiful chandelier, which she says is nearly 8 feet wide and 7 feet high. She went on to boast about all the fun times her family enjoyed in that very room.
The home features five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, which was needed since the couple had two daughters that grew up in the home. The mansion can be found near the 18th hole of Manor Golf and Country Club – located less than an hour north of Atlanta in Milton, Georgia. It’s absolutely beautiful.
According to several outlets, the home is currently worth anywhere between $2.5 and $2.6 million as of today – which is quite impressive, considering they paid less than $900,000 for the home back in 2012. They reportedly defaulted on their loan back in August, which is why the home is now up for auction.
Reports of a possible foreclosure began in November of last year, but Kim Zolciak-Biermann immediately shut those rumors down – saying fans were crazy if they thought she would let her home be sold for a little over $250,000, considering they put several millions of dollars into the home over the past decade.
2 Daughters Defend Their Mother, Kim Zolciak-Biermann
On Wednesday, Brielle and Ariana Biermann – the two daughters of Kim Zolciak-Biermann – were spotted at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Paparazzi were quick to stop them and ask about their family home entering foreclosure and being up for auction. They mimicked their mother’s sentiment.
They apparently have no plans of moving out and even stayed at the home recently before going on a trip across the country. They also confirmed all their belongings and furniture are still in the home and that, while they didn’t hear about the auction on March 7, they have kept in contact with their mother recently.
At this point, no one has any idea what’s going on – except those closely involved with the process. The mansion could be up for auction, like the bank and Fulton County claim. Of course, it could also be a misunderstanding that the family isn’t concerned about, much like the family has been telling everyone.
