On May 10, Kim Kardashian West and her husband rapper Kanye West welcomed their fourth child into the world. This was the second child the couple welcomed via a surrogate.
As her fans already know by now, Kim and Kanye decided to name their fourth and final child, Psalm West. However, as the mom of four revealed during the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Psalm wasn’t her first choice.

While introducing their youngest child to the rest of the family at dinner, the Kardashian-Jenner clan asked Kim how they came upon the name Psalm. She said, “His name was going to [be] Ye, but Kanye didn’t like Ye because Ye doesn’t mean anything.”
Kim continued, “We looked up every name in the bible that had Ye in the beginning, and the only name was Yehezkel, and then Kylie called at the last second and was like, ‘No!'”
Following Psalm’s birth, the 39-year-old said she’s done having kids despite Kanye saying he wanted to have seven children, because the number 7 is God’s number. Kim told the cameras that with the addition of Psalm, she feels like her family is “complete” with 6-year-old North, 4-year-old Saint, and 1-year-old Chicago.
She said her other three children call their youngest sibling, Psalm Ye, now. The mom also praised Kanye for how much he’s stepped up since becoming parents of four. Kim said he’s been waking up in the middle of the night to tend to their crying children and leaves her sleeping.
“Things are definitely more chaotic, like all the time, but I make it a serious point to spend time with him. […] Kanye knows that I’ve had such anxiety with the new baby and everything going on. He’s stepped up so much and has been the most amazing dad, playing all the games with the kids and things like that.”
The reality star said during an Instagram Q&A, “I LOVE my babies so much but 4 is all I can handle with how busy I am, and each one of my babies needs so much attention.”

On October 21, Kim celebrated her 39th birthday. She revealed her birthday gift from her husband of 5 years and their children was $1 million in donations to her favorite charities that support prison reform in her name.
The couple also surprised their fans during the latest episode of their show by revealing they renewed their vows for their 5-year anniversary after welcoming Psalm into their family.
What a perfect way to celebrate the completion of their family by celebrating the love that brought them into the world.
