Have you ever wondered what the ‘best day ever’ would look like for a 7-year-old like Saint West? If so, then you’re in luck because Kim Kardashian gave fans a glimpse of what that’s like on July 21 when she took him and his friend to an Inter Miami CF match at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
That game just so happened to mark the debut of Lionel Messi, who just so happens to be Saint’s favorite player – no, it wasn’t a coincidence, it was more a testament to how much Kim loves her son. The 42-year-old mother of four shared a series of photos and videos of the occasion on her Instagram Story.
In one video, Saint West and his friend are yelling Messi’s name as he walked through a crowd of people following the game. The boys were lucky enough to each get a selfie with the superstar. “Best day of their entire lives,” Kim wrote in the video. It’s a moment millions of fans around the world can only dream of.
A second video showed the two boys’ reaction to meeting their idol, while a third video showed them handing out high-fives as the players took the field through the tunnel. They were wearing black and pink Messi jerseys – with the shorts to match, of course – and were having the time of their life at the game.
Kim Kardashian also shared a photo of a signed Messi jersey – which was addressed to Saint – and showed off the unique hairstyle he donned at the game – which featured an ‘M10’ braided into his hair. To add a little context for those who don’t watch soccer, Lionel Messi wears the No. 10 – hence, the M10.
Lionel Messi spent his entire career playing in Europe before making his debut in the United States on July 21. He played for Barcelona of La Liga for 17 years between 2004 and 2021 before signing with Paris Saint-Germain of Ligue 1 – where he spent two years. He has represented Argentina since 2005.
Messi is one of the greatest footballers of all-time, having won a record seven Ballon d’Or awards and a record six European Golden Shoes. He led Barcelona to a club-record 34 trophies, holds numerous records in La Liga (including most goals with 474), and most recently led Argentina to a World Cup win.
Kim Kardashian Had One More Surprise for Saint West and His Friend
Saint West was already having the best day of his life, but Kim Kardashian managed to make it even sweeter when she introduced him to another legend in the football community – David Beckham. She shared a photo of the meet-and-greet, which showed Beckham smiling as he shook Saint’s hand.
During the game, Kardashian spoke with an MLS reporter about her visit and, more importantly, her son’s love for the game. “He’s obsessed with soccer and I will do anything for my babies, so I travel the world. We do soccer trips and it’s not stopping. All summer we’re going to different exhibition games,” she said.
While they have plenty more soccer games to attend in the future, it’s not just soccer that the two appear to have an interest in. It was just a few months ago that Saint West accompanied his mother – as well as his aunt, Khloe Kardashian, and cousin, True Thompson – at a Los Angeles Lakers’ game in April.
