Khloé Kardashian wants to set a good example for her 3-year-old daughter True when it comes to body image.
In the November 2021 Health cover story, Khloé explained how she is determined to be a good model for her daughter as she understands how negative comments can affect one’s mental health.
“When it comes to food — I had so many issues,” she said of the intense criticism she has received on her body. “It wasn’t from one person, I guess just from society or how people critiqued my body.”
“I don’t play when it comes to True,” the 37-year-old said when asked about how she teaches emotional and physical health to her child.
“She’s very tall. People will always say, ‘She’s so big,'” Kardashian explained. “And I’ll say, ‘Oh, she’s so tall.’ I try to make them be more descriptive. I know what an adult means when they say that, but I don’t want her to misinterpret that.”

Back in 2015, she informed Women’s Health magazine her fitness regimen was not just for her health.
“It’s just as much for all my critics who called me ‘the fat one’ for my entire existence,” Kardashian told the outlet at time. In her latest interview, Kardashian, who co-parents with ex, Tristan Thompson, praised her sister, Kourtney, for paving the way in parenthood.
“It would be like, ‘Why are you late?’ But now, it’s like, ‘OK, I get it.’ There are things that you can’t understand until you are a parent,” Kardashian said. “My relationship with my mom is so much better, too. I have so much more empathy and compassion — it’s like, wait, you had six kids?!
Khloe also spoke on her body image insecurities during part two of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion, which aired on June 20.
“Interestingly enough, I was so confident and secure before the show,” Khloe recalled. But when critics began calling Khloe “fugly” and other insults, she began to question herself. “That’s when I became hard on myself because I was like, ‘Oh, this is how other people perceived me,'” Khloe recalled. “I became insecure because of everyone else telling me.”
In the end, Khloe decided to go under the knife. “For me, everyone says, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s had her third face transplant,’ but I’ve had one nose job,” Khloe confirmed about her plastic surgery. “And everyone gets so upset, like, why don’t I talk about it. No one’s ever asked me.”
