Turns out Khloé Kardashian couldn’t care less about what mom-shamers think about her long nails. Never one to shy away from posting photos of her latest glam manicure, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star insists that her nail choices in no way hinder her ability to care for 15-month-old daughter, True Thompson.
Many followers have shared their outrage about Khloé’s manicures with comments such as, “Omg how can you handle a baby with those nails.” Another added that Khloé “had the nails of a woman who pays other people to do everything for her.”
During a recent Vogue Beauty Secrets video, the mom-of-one responded to the hate, “I’ve always had long nails. I’ve had long nails for 100 years. I’m a long nail type of girl.”
“Everyone told me, ‘when you have a baby you have to have short nails,'” Khloé continued. “‘This is gross. You can’t take care of your child.’ If I can wipe my own ass, I can wipe my child’s ass! I mean I’m actually looking at hers. So, it’s a lot easier.”
This is not the first time Khloé has addressed the issue of her nails. In February, she tweeted, “It’s annoying when people talk about my nails. Trust me, I manage just fine. The same way I take care of myself, I take care of my baby. There are more serious things to discuss. At least I would hope.”
Nail controversy aside, KoKo continues to melt our hearts with adorable pics of baby True and her positive attitude to all the online hate. It looks like this mama and her baby are doing just fine.
