Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly have announced that they are expecting their fourth child a year after Kelly’s extensive brain surgery, Yahoo! reports. The couple decided to share the good news with their friends in an Instagram post from Disneyland.
“Got to enjoy one of the most magical places with my husband and 3 of our kiddos. Not pictured: our middle baby girl, Huntie,” wrote Kelly. “Baby Stafford #4 due this summer (no worries, well before training camp).”

The couple doesn’t yet know the gender of their child, but this mama is understandably feeling exhausted. “I had zero energy. This pregnancy had been my toughest yet.. messing more so with my head and my balance, making me sick and constantly worried something else was wrong,” Kelly admitted in a separate post.

“We won’t know whether the Stafford kids will continue as a girl squad or if a little brother will enter the craziness until baby is here. Excited and exhausted!”
The couple already has three young girls. And the strong mama ensured fans that this will be their last child. “Yes, we are done after this,” Kelly shared during one of her Instagram Stories. “Stafford party of 6 will stay a party of 6.”

The expectant mom underwent brain surgery last spring to remove a slow-growing tumor. The surgery caused her to lose balance on her right side and she had to essentially re-learn how to move again.
Doctors warned her that it would take about a year for her to make a full recovery. The resilient mama was seen celebrating her successful recovery by skydiving with her pro-athlete husband earlier this year. Congratulations to this happy and healthy couple!
