Oh, parents. More often than not they are there to protect and provide, but there are also sometimes when they are there just to outright embarrass their little ones.
Take Gwenyth Paltrow for example. On September 27, the actress turned 48 years old. And in celebration of another year around the sun, Paltrow took a tasteful photo of herself, in the nude, and then shared it with her 7.4 million followers.

“In nothing but my birthday suit today,” Paltrow wrote. “Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and thank you to @goop‘s insanely amazing brand new body butter for making me think I can still get my kit off.”
And while many people, us included, just hope we look like Paltrow does at the age of 48, her 16-year-old daughter had a different reaction. “MOM,” Apple Martin commented under the photo. And well, if Gwyneth was our mom, we’d probably have the same reaction.
However, like the many of us who applauded Paltrow’s ability to never age, Kelly Ripa started to take notes. And respectfully gave her daughter, Lola, some notice.
Lola Responds to Kelly Ripa’s Nude Photo Threat With Clapback of the Year
Ripa took to Instagram to share a snapshot of one of her and Lola’s text conversations. Ripa began the convo by sending her daughter a news article about Paltrow’s nude photo along with the message, “You’ve been warned.”

Lola then responded with a threat, err a warning of her own. “Oh lord,” Lola said back to her mom. “Honey, do what you want. Just know that I have a birthday also and an Instagram.” And the clapback of the year goes to Lola Consuelos.
Lola’s father and Kelly’s husband, actor Mark Consuelos, also saw the post and like any father would do, left a comment which simply stated, “Lord.” Ripa turns 50 on Friday, October 2. So grab the popcorn because this might get interesting.
