Kelly Ripa makes no apology for her love and attraction for her husband, Mark Consuelos. Recently, the “Live With Kelly and Ryan” host shared a photo of the “Riverdale” in a pair of pants that did not leave too much to the imagination.
The photo is part of a gallery-style post on Ripa’s Instagram account. Consuelos and a friend are dressed as “CHiPS” characters, Jon and Ponch. Apparently, this costume requires a pair of painted-on khakis. Fans took notice of the… bulge and commented accordingly. And then, Ripa weighed in herself.
Comments on Kelly Ripa’s photo of Mark Consuelos ranged from hilarious to thirsty.
“Meow Mark???????????? lucky girl!” one fan commented on the photo, while another joked, “I know where Ponch keeps his gun!”
“Mark is packing a gun in his cop uniform ????????,” added a third.
In fact, the actor was compared to a great number of phallic objects, but we think you get the idea.
Consuelos apparently took notice of the comments about his genial genitals and decided to spread some modesty around. He entered the fray with a comment of his own, putting into question the validity of the image.
“Full disclosure, I believe that’s definitely a shadow that’s causing that bulging effect,” he wrote to which his wife quickly protested.
“ummmmm baby are you seeing shadows?,” Ripa quipped. No one’s gaslighting this lady!
The couple has been married since 1996 and share three children together. This is only the latest of Ripa and Consuelos’ refreshingly frank comments about their sex life.
“We had our kids so young — we’d only been married for one year when we had Michael, so we have had kids pretty much our entire marriage,” Ripa told People in August. “So when it comes to an empty nest, we’re looking forward to it, honestly.”

She was referring to her children who would be moving out to attend school, leaving the parents to unabashedly experience their love. Consuelos also spoke to people about empty nesting a relayed what a friend had told him about it.
“Rob Lowe says that once your kids leave, you pretty much never put clothes on ever again; you’re just naked all the time,” the actor said. “So there’s that too!”
As we wrote, Ripa often shares “thirst trap” photos of her husband doing domestic things or simply floating in a pool. She captioned one “Sunday vibes [suggestive emoji] #daddy.” While she’s having a blast bragging about her husband, Ripa’s daughter isn’t too pleased with mom.
“That’s disgusting,” Ripa’s 19-year-old, Lola said. “I block that out of my mind. I forgot that you even did that. I don’t even know if I follow you on Instagram still. I’m kidding, I would never.”
Ripa and Lola’s discussion about social media continued with, what now seems like foreshadowing, about the “clap back.”
“The one thing I learned about social media from my daughter is apparently I should not clap back,” Ripa explained. “But I feel like the clap back is what people want.”

So, was the “ummmmm baby are you seeing shadows?” comment “what people want”?
Either way, we’re always pleased to see couples love freely and loudly, even if it makes us a touch uncomfortable. Being in love is a beautiful thing and the world could use more of that right now.
Our society has a nasty habit of objectifying women and, especially female celebrities. It seems that Ripa is merely flipping that, old, tired script. Keep living your best, sex-positive, Kelly Ripa!
