Kelly Clarkson shutting down mom-shaming when it comes to her daughter’s hair.
Last weekend, Clarkson shared to Twitter how she gave her 6-year-old daughter, River Rose, a purple streak in her hair.
And while she did not show off her eldest child’s new look — she did reveal how River felt like a rocks star with the colorful hairdo.
“I put a purple streak in my daughter’s hair today and I swear to you she thinks she is as cool as Prince now,” wrote Clarkson, 38.
“Full on air guitar, singing at the top of her lungs, that is what’s happening … and before I get attacked for being the worst mom ever, it’s safe, organic paint.”
One fan who was in support of the singer shared a photo of her own niece with purple hair at age 4.
“Have fun with your kiddos Kelly,” wrote the user, to which Clarkson replied of the girl’s hair, “Oh my gosh this is so rad! LOVE IT!!”
Clarkson tweeted earlier in the day, how she was “having the best morning” before also posting about her son and his new habit. She shares Remington “Remy” Alexander, 4, with ex Brandon Blackstock.
She wrote, “Me to my son: Son, why are you grabbing at yourself so much? Son to me: Because it’s fun.”

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock, 43, in June after almost seven years of marriage. A source revealed to PEOPLE at the time how she will always put her kids’ well-being first as she deals with marital matters.
“Her priority is making sure her children grow up in a stable, loving environment,” said the insider.
Clarkson has always been close to Blackstock’s teenage children from a previous marriage. “She’s always thought of Seth and Savannah as her own too, and she has a special relationship with both of them,” added the source. “Kelly wants to remain close with her step-kids.”

Good for Kelly! Her daughter wanted purple hair so her mother gave her purple hair. I’m a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and I see nothing wrong with it. It’s just hair, for crying out loud, and it’s just a streak, but if she wanted her entire head of hair dyed purple I wouldn’t have a problem with that, either.
