Whether you’re a celebrity or not, if you’re a mom, you’re most likely constantly trying to figure out how to juggle work schedules, school commitments, errands, and so much more. Singer Kelly Clarkson is no different, and she recently opened up to People about putting her kids and family above all, including her demanding career.
In addition to making time to spend with her husband, Brandon Blackstock, and her four children, Clarkson is also busy filming a new talk show for NBC’s syndication network (The Kelly Clarkson Show ) and The Voice.
“I love being busy,” she told People in an interview for a recent cover story. “The schedule is intense but I actually work really well under pressure.”

Despite the very busy schedule, Clarkson makes sure to schedule time with River Rose, 5, Remington Alexander, 3, Savannah, 18, and Seth, 12. (Her two eldest children are from Blackstock’s previous marriage.)
She shared that she always puts her kids to bed and made sure to schedule her show tapings around their schedules, starting after the morning school drop off has been completed.
“You just have to prioritize and juggle and make people know it’s an important thing,” she said. “And don’t’ feel guilty about it.”
Clarkson was also honest about her struggles finding the balance, admitting that it’s not always easy.
“Some days, I totally hid in a bathroom and I’m crying, going ‘Oh my God, this is a lot,’” she shared. “Everybody does. Every parent does, especially when you’re like, ‘Am I screwing up the children? Or nailing it? I have no idea. I’m sure a little of both.”
Clarkson and her family recently moved from Nashville to Los Angeles so she can tape the show, set to premiere on September 9 at 3 p.m. on NBC.
