Hours after news broke that the television host was filing for full custody of the son he shares with HGTV star Christina Hall, formerly known as Christina El Moussa. According to People, following their initial divorce, Christina and Ant were granted joint legal custody of their 2-year-old son, Hudson.

Now, Anstead has made the decision to file for full custody of their son. As People reports, all seemed well in the world of co-parenting between Anstead and Hall. In 2021, Anstead claimed, “There’s never been a scenario where I’ve asked for him and not had him and vice versa.”

And in the statement revealing their decision to divorce, the former couples said, “We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority.” Now both Hall and Anstead have moved on to new relationships.

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Hall wed her third husband, Josh hall, on April 5, in a private ceremony to celebrate their one year of dating. And Anstead is dating actress Renee Zellwegger. Now, Hall is issuing a statement defending herself.

“What Ant is doing deeply saddens me. If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested. I have had my share of ups and downs but I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them,” Hall told People.

In his filing, obtained by People, Anstead claimed he has been the “primary parent” of Hudson ever since their divorce in 2020. The filing also claimed that “Hall has spent an ‘average of 9 full days each month over the last 20 months and an average of 7 full days per month in 2022’ with Hudson.”

Anstead then asked for Hall’s “’regular’ custody schedule to be ‘alternating weekends, Friday at 4:00 p.m. until Sunday at 6:00 p.m. commencing May 6, 2022, in California only, and except for vacations.’”

“This will allow Christina’s time to be stepped-up over the next several months to match the schedule she has with her other children,” reads the filing. Both Christina and Ant have children from previous relationships as well.
