For days, fans of Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth have been dying to learn what they choose to name their baby girl. After announcing the birth of their second child on August 24 in an Instagram post, the mom shared her daughter’s birth date, the time she was born, her weight, and how long she measured.
However, what she didn’t reveal was the name of their newest bundle of joy. Well, as Joy-Anna would later reveal, that is because she and Austin were still trying to think of the perfect name.

Following two Instagram posts that neglected to share the name of their daughter, the third post was what the world had been waiting for. “I wanted her name to be perfect and elegant,” Joy-Anna wrote. And because of that pressure, they admitted to having a “hard time deciding” on their little girl’s moniker.
Eventually, the couple landed on Evelyn Mae Forsyth, or “Evy Mae” for short.
“After a few days, [we] finally settled on “Evy Mae” and we think it fits her perfectly,” the proud mom continued. And Joy obviously isn’t the only one excited over the arrival of their baby girl. In an Instagram post of his own, Austin wrote, “Can’t get over the fact that I have a D A U G H T E R!”
It’s clear that both Joy-Anna and Austin are completely smitten by their newest family member.
“I am at a loss for words, so I’m just going to say… She is perfect and I love her more than I EVER thought imaginable,” Joy shared on Instagram with her fans.

As Joy previously revealed, Evy Mae is quite the cuddle bug already. “She has the best personality, is easy going and loves to be held! She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it! Getting to spend that quiet, quality time with her through the night has been SO special!”
So sweet!
