Josiah and Lauren Duggar may have just given birth to their first child together, but they are already thinking about their daughter’s younger siblings and what they plan on naming their future little ones.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Josiah and Lauren welcomed a little girl into the world on November 8. The daughter, who they named Bella Milagro Duggar, is the couple’s rainbow baby after they suffered a miscarriage in 2018.

The couple named the child they lost last year, Asa.
The couple wrote at the time of Bella’s birth, “Look who’s here! Bella Milagro Duggar was born November 8th, 2019 at 4:24 pm, weighing six-pounds, five-ounces and 18.5 inches long. Our hearts are so full! We are so thankful for God blessings us with such a healthy baby girl!”
Bella Milagro means “beautiful miracle” in Spanish.
During a recent episode of TLC’s Counting On, fans got to see how Josiah and Lauren revealed Bella’s sex and her name to their families. The couple played a game of balloon roulette, in which they began popping a bunch of balloons (most of which were filled with white confetti) until they got to the lone balloon with the pink confetti inside, revealing they were having a baby girl.
Josiah and Lauren Come up With Naming System for Future Child
They also revealed that after miscarrying Asa, they came up with a system for naming their future children. As Josiah explained, “We’re doing it in alphabetical order, so we had baby number one, which is Asa, who we didn’t get to meet. And then baby number two [Bella] is going to begin with a ‘B’.”
That means, baby number three’s name—whenever that may be—will begin with a “C.” They also revealed that when naming Bella, Lauren picked the girl’s name and Josiah picked the boy’s name.

“I’m really big about the meaning of the name. Asa meant, ‘The living one or healer.’ Bella means ‘beautiful’ and Milagro means ‘miracle’ and we’ve almost lost this one. So just going through a loss of our first, I can’t pick a better name for her with what we’ve been through.”
Now, Josiah and Lauren are thoroughly enjoying their time as first-time parents. Just yesterday, the couple celebrated Bella being one month old already.
Lauren wrote, “One month with Bella. It’s hard to believe Bella is already a month old! She is the sweetest, happiest, and most content little baby. She brings us so much joy!”
Amazing.
