Duggar has been accused of possessing child pornography which was reportedly found on his work computer. Also found allegedly found on his work computer, was a software designed to keep people honest with their internet searches.
Should he have looked at a pornography site, then his wife would have been notified. However, it was reported that Josh was allegedly using an unregistered network that the software wouldn’t have picked up.
According to agent Gerald Faulkner’s testimony, the files allegedly found on Josh Duggar’s computer revealed the sex abuse of a child ranging from 18 months to 12 years of age. Faulkner described the images and files as “the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine.”
Following his initial arrest in April, Josh’s parents issued a statement on the family’s official website. “We appreciate your continued prayers for our family at this time. The accusations brought against Joshua today are very serious,” Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar said on April 30.
“It is our prayer that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light and that this will all be resolved in a timely manner. We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family.”
It’s unclear how much support Josh has received from his parents. Currently, Jim Bob is gearing up to run for a state Senate seat. The primary election for that race is on December 14.
Right now, Josh Duggar is living with family friends while on house arrest. He is prohibited from being in the presents of minors except for his own children. Even then, his wife Anna must be present.
During his most recent court appearance, Anna Duggar accompanied him. It will be interesting to see if Anna will be present during the trial as well. With no cameras, phones, or laptops allowed, it could make her more comfortable.
