Jon Gosselin may not have seen or talked to his estranged daughter Mady Gosselin in years, but that doesn’t mean he won’t defend her. Mady has recently taken a liking to TikTok like most teens her age.
In one of her most recent videos, Mady addressed her haters by “rating” some of the most hurtful comments she has received on social media. From “it’s been so amazing to watch such an ungrateful brat grow up,” to “you are such an uncharming human,” the comments are far from what any 18-year-old should have to read.

Jon Gosselin Defends Estranged Daughter Mady From Online Critics
And Jon agrees, regardless of if they’re estranged or not. During an interview with The Sun, the dad of eight was asked about Mady’s TikTok video and he didn’t seem pleased with how people were treating his daughter online.
“Why are you going after Mady? She can do whatever she wants,” Jon Gosselin said. “Why are you dragging her into something, she’s just taking pictures of herself like every kid out there. It feels like everyone is just being horrible everywhere, you can’t even walk down the street.”
Just because Mady was put on TV at a young age, that doesn’t mean people can see her as a target for their hurtful words. As Jon explained, Mady is only acting her age.
“If you want to be disgruntled, be disgruntled towards yourself, not to my daughter. Leave her alone, she’s just a kid in college, all of those kids have a TikTok. So again my message is simple. Leave my kids alone. Period. Go about your way. Or you’re going to have a bigger problem.”
Despite their estrangement, Jon says that will never change his want to protect her. “I haven’t been in touch with her for years, which is sad, but that is the situation,” Jon explained.

“And I know she’s grown and very capable of standing up for herself but I’ll always be her dad and I’ll always want to protect her,” Jon Gosselin continued. “I’d love one day to be there in person to defend her.” It’s unclear if Mady has seen her dad’s comments, but we hope she’s taking care of herself despite all the bullies she, unfortunately, has run into.
