Hours after being unmasked on “The Masked Singer,” Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider made disturbing comments about the President of the United States Joe Biden.
According to Deadline, while trolling X, formerly known as Twitter, the actor reportedly responded to a post calling for the “public hanging” of Biden.
Schneider deleted the comment, but not before the Secret Service opened a probe into his comments. According to reports, he responded to a post from Biden in which the president said former President Trump “poses many threats to our country.”
“Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son, too. Your response is..? Sincerely, John Schneider,” the actor’s reply allegedly read. However, despite signing his name to the response, in a statement given to People, Schneider denied that he had threatened the president.
The actor’s legal woes come years after fellow actor, Kathy Griffin, also made public threats against then-President Trump and also attracted the attention of the Secret Service. Griffin apologized for her behavior saying she “crossed the line.”
