John Legend and Chrissy Teigen let their fans in on a huge surprise, they are expecting their third child. On August 13, Legend released his latest music video for his song “Wild.”
In the music video, the couple, who has been married since 2013, revealed that they are expecting their third child, two years after their son Miles was born in May 2018. The video for the song Wild, which features Gary Clark Jr., costars John’s wife of nearly seven years.

It was towards the end of the video that all three of his family members, Teigen, their 4-year-old daughter Luna, and their son, 2-year-old Miles came into frame. But the big reveal didn’t come until the last seconds of the music video.
With roughly 12-seconds left in the video, the camera focuses in on Chrissy and John’s midsections as both of them cradle Chrissy’s stomach. However, the couple as yet to officially confirm the news on either of their social media pages. However, shortly after the video premiered, Teigen shared this emoji on Twitter.
According to Teigen’s Instagram page, the video was directed by Nabil, the person who introduced them to each other 14 years ago. But perhaps the biggest hint was from Vevo’s official Twitter account.
In a tweet shared just has the video went public, it read, “John Legend and Chrissy Teigen drive us ‘Wild’ in the heartfelt visuals for John’s latest song with Gary Clark Jr! Be sure to watch it now for a beautiful surprise!” Perhaps the beautiful surprise is that the celebrity couple is having a third child?
As Teigen said in a 2018 interview with People, “John wants however many kids I want. That’s the good thing with John—he is down for it. Are we ready right now? No! I really love having two, but I think when I’m 70, I’ll look back and say, ‘Oh, I wish I had more.’ I can’t see myself regretting having a ton of kids.” As it turns out, in 2020, the couple is ready for baby number 3.
The closest the couple got to confirming the news was during a live chat Teigen and Legend had with their fans prior to the release of the music video. “We have “All of Me,” the marriage, no kids yet. “Love Me Now” with Luna and this one with Miles,” said Teigen. “It’s been chronicling our family’s growth and our journey and we’re so happy that this video is the next chapter,” Legend added, People reports.
