Actor Joel Kinnaman, who is currently best known for his role in DC Comics Suicide Squad, is speaking out after he needed to file for a restraining order against a woman. According to an Instagram post, he revealed that the woman was Gabriella Magnusson, a Swedish-Jamaican model also known as Bella Davis.
According to NBC News, Kinnaman has been granted a temporary restraining order that will expire on the last day of August. Then, both Kinnaman and Magnusson are expected to appear in a Los Angeles court.

In his post, Joel Kinnaman explained why he felt the need to file for a restraining order from the model. “Earlier this morning, I filed for a restraining order against a woman who has been threatening to physically harm me and my family and loved ones, and attempting to extort money and other things of value from me.”

NBC News further reported that Kinnaman and Magnusson were once involved in a romantic relationship in 2018 and had “consensual sex” during that “brief” relationship. However, in 2020, after their relationship allegedly ended, Kinnaman alleges that Magnusson sent him sexually explicit videos while he was in a new relationship.
However, despite blocking Magnusson’s number, she reportedly found other ways of getting in touch with him, NBC News states. When Kinnaman did not engage, Magnusson got “angry and confrontational.”
Magnusson has a different story, according to her own social media post. In her posts, the model claimed that the actor “raped her twice” and that an email she alleged was from her lawyer stated that Kinnaman has reached out to her asking her to sign a “confidentiality agreement.”
Joel Kinnaman, in his filing, also said that Magnusson threatened to release false information publicly if he didn’t follow through with her demands. “While it is mortifying and scary to come forward about all of this, what feels worse is enduring the escalating daily threats of physical harm to me and my loved ones and threats to go to the press with fabricated, vile rumors.”
