In the newest episode of her podcast, Getting Honest, Jessica Alba, actress and founder of The Honest Company, revealed she and her husband, Cash Warren underwent one of the most embarrassing moments a parent can endure.
The couple was having an intimate moment when their 9-year-old daughter, Haven, walked in on them.
Warren explains,”It was the worst. We like spent five minutes in our bedroom laughing. And being like, ‘I can’t believe we just ruined our daughter, we just ruined her.’” Alba said that she “started crying” out of embarrassment over the situation. The couple took a few minutes to process what happened.
Jessica Alba needed to figure out something to do, so she brought in trusted outside help.
“I called Koa [Warren’s sister]. She’s so good at helping us through challenges, I feel like she just has such a kind, gentle soul.”
Jessica Alba reveals that her daughter likely had a similar reaction to the couple, if maybe a little larger. “I think by the time we called Koa, Haven had already texted her. She went right in and told everyone.”

While a very tough situation no matter the family, the couple’s instincts were to accept what happened and be honest with Haven rather than ignore it. Cash Warren was very frank in saying, “We just have to own this one. We can’t pretend it didn’t happen.”
Luckily in taking the honest route, things worked out in the end.
Cash Warren explained how the family moved on from the situation. “I went downstairs and said, ‘Haven, I bet that’s the last time you walk into our room without knocking.'” Now she knocks, it was like she learned her lesson.”
So in the end, Haven learned a valuable lesson about privacy that she will not forget any time soon.
