Last week, MamasUncut reported that ABC News is getting ready to release their interview with Jeremy Renner – his first interview since being run over by a snowplow on January 1. They released a teaser of that interview, in which he sits down with Diane Sawyer, on March 29 – but it only left us wanting more.

In the first teaser (see below), Sawyer lists all the injuries he suffered as a result of the accident (a long and chilling list) and asks him if he remembers the pain he felt – he does, in case you were wondering. They also talked about how he risked his own life to save his nephew’s life.

And he would do it again.

Scheduled to be released on April 6, Good Morning America gave us yet another teaser (see below) of the interview – again, leaving us eager for more. In the new teaser, GMA shares bits and pieces of the 911 call before sharing a snippet of Renner talking about his nephew, who was with him the entire way.

“If I was there, on my own, that would’ve been a horrible way to die. And surely, I would’ve. Surely. But I wasn’t alone — [I was with] my nephew. Sweet Alex. And the rest of the calvary came,” Jeremy Renner explained in the interview – having to pause in-between sentences to avoid becoming too emotional.

Diane Sawyer goes on to explain how Renner wrote a goodbye note to his family while he was in critical condition in the hospital. “I’m writing down notes in my phone, my last words to my family,” Renner says as he chokes up with tears in his eyes. And that’s when the teaser ends – quite the cliffhanger, huh?

Jeremy Renner ended up breaking more than 30 bones in the accident. His injuries included breaking 8 ribs in 14 places, his right ankle, left leg tibia, left ankle, left clavicle, right shoulder, jaw, and mandible.

He also had a collapsed lung and pierced liver as he lay in a pool of his own blood coming from his head.

The horrific tragedy all started when his snowplow started to slide sideways when he exited without setting the emergency brake. He saw the snowplow heading straight for his nephew, Alex and decided to try and stop it before getting caught in its tracks. A nearby neighbor ended up calling the police for help.

Jeremy Renner Jokingly Offers Free Snowcat Rides on Instagram

Jeremy Renner is thankful and grateful to be alive – knowing that he was just moments away from dying a few months ago. Despite suffering life-threatening injuries, he is (incredibly) expected to make a full recovery and the accident hasn’t ruined his motivation or ambition as an actor – or his sense of humor.

On Instagram, he shared a clip of the Diane Sawyer interview and thanked everything for ‘all the positive, loving prayers’ for him and his family. “I am so truly grateful and honestly overwhelmed with such goodness,” he added – before offering some ‘free Snowcat rides up at the house if you’re interested.’

Many of his colleagues were quick to call him a real-life superhero, but one friend, in particular, took him up on that offer – Ryan Reynolds. “I would take a snowcat ride. I’m not even kidding. But it has to be in the middle of summer. And only you inside the snowcat while I watch from a safe distance from your well-appointed living room,” Reynolds wrote in a comment.
