Jeremy Renner is relying on the love and support of friends and family as he continues to progress in his recovery from a horrific, life-threatening snow plow accident in January. Since then, he has received countless visits from family members, colleagues, co-stars, and more as they hope for a full recovery.
While it has been a humbling experience for someone who many views as a superhero – due to his time with Marvel’s Avengers – he’s reminding those closest to him that he’s still a superhero in his own right. One of those people closest to him is his nephew, who shared an adorable note with his uncle recently.
“I am very lucky because my uncle is hawkeye (witch is 1 of the Avengers). I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident [sic],” his nephew wrote – which was shared by Renner via his Instagram Story on Wednesday. “Love my little man ❤️ Bless you, Auggie,” Renner replied in the caption.
Moments later, Jeremy Renner shared a photo of two small stuffed animal sloths – “My inside feelings,” he wrote in the photo. During the COVID-19 quarantine, he posted a video of himself in a sloth costume as he debuted his ‘DJ Sloth’ persona. He has posted about sloths on social media several times before.
While his recovery from the snow plow accident will take time – similar to how slow a sloth moves on a regular basis – he continues to take it one day at a time and understands that he won’t be 100% for a while. The good news is he’s dedicated to the process and is ready for the challenge it creates in his life.
Renner has shared several updates with his fans on social media since the accident. Most recently, he shared a video of him on a stationary bike, but it wasn’t easy to ride it. He had to use his arms to help his one leg pedal while the other leg stayed still. Considering where he was a month ago, this is progress.
In addition to his continued physical therapy, he’s taking this time to focus on his mental health – which has also suffered in the wake of the accident. He recently shared a photo of a book he was reading – The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo – by a fireplace. Despite what happened, he remains in good spirits.
Jeremy Renner Continues to Help and Serve Others
Jeremy Renner might be down for the count, but he’s not letting that stop him from living out his dreams. Over the past two months, he has had a lot of time to promote the second season of his latest TV series – Mayor of Kingstown – in which he stars as Mike McLusky. The season comes to an end on March 19.
While the season is coming to an end soon, this is Jeremy Renner we’re talking about – so you know he has another project lined up, and that project is RENNERVATIONS. He has teased the project several times before but finally gave fans the lowdown on what’s to come a few weeks ago on his Instagram.
“FIRST LOOK at ‘RENNERVATIONS’ @disneyplus this April 12th. We are all so very proud and excited to share with you all finally!!! Love you all. I’m coming back very soon,” he wrote in the caption, sharing a video preview of what the show’s about. It’s safe to say it has Renner written all over it.
