After weeks of not seeing her children outside of a courthouse and court-supervised visits, Jenelle Evans was able to attend her son Kaiser’s birthday party over the weekend with no strings attached.
Evans and her husband, David Eason, celebrated Kaiser’s fifth birthday with her ex Nathan Griffith. The pool party was hosted at Griffith’s mom’s house. In addition to seeing Kaiser, Evans was able to see her oldest son, Jace, 9, as well as her and Eason’s daughter, Ensely, 2. Both children are currently in the custody of Evans mom, Barbara, who brought both kids to the party.
Jenelle Evans Celebrates Kaiser’s 5th Birthday
Evans shared pics from the birthday party on Instagram, saying, “Can’t believe you are 5 already! You might be getting older but you’re still my baby.”
Griffith and his current girlfriend, Ashley, took to Twitter to share why they decided to invite the troubled couple to the birthday party and, more importantly, why it wasn’t a legal no-no. “Ash and I were talking about Kaiser’s birthday and Ashley suggest that it would be nice to invite them. I brought up the proposition to my lawyer and he said “YES!,” shared Griffith. He also assured his followers that there was no drama between him and Eason during the party.
According to TMZ, the party was an unsupervised visit. Evans and Eason lost custody of the three children in May after Eason shot and killed the family dog. The couple has since been working to regain custody, including regular court visits, couples counseling, and parenting classes.
Evans and Eason were back in court last week to allegedly petition the judge to regain custody of the three kids. There has yet to be a timeline reported for when that will happen for the couple.
Jenelle Evans Claims Her Children Are Unsafe While in the Care of Her Mother
Evans may have finally had the opportunity to see her children at Kaiser’s fifth birthday party last weekend, but her family drama is far from over. Now, Evans believes that her children are in danger while living with her mom, Barbara.
Apparently, Evans feels this way because of her brother, Colin’s, volatile behavior. Police reports, obtained by TMZ, show that Colin has had at least eight run-ins with the police since February. Colin has called the police for alleged stalkers, break-ins, trespassers and more. He has even gone so far as to list Jenelle’s husband, David Eason, on the reports, though no evidence indicates him in any crime.
One report shared with TMZ involves a woman who Colin claims was taking pictures of him and his house, though she was only taking photos in the woods. The police told Colin to leave people alone.
Colin isn’t the only family member being visited by local police. Evan’s mom, Barbara, has also received several visits to her home over the last few months. There was one disturbance call about an undisclosed family member who had been throwing items in the house and making threats.
Sources told TMZ that Evans and Eason will stop at nothing to get their kids back and believe the environment at her mom’s home is worse than anything the kids would experience under their roof.
Evans and Eason were back in court Monday fighting to regain custody of their children. In an exclusive video shared by RadarOnline, Evans is seen laughing as she leaves the courthouse while Eason is seen carrying an armful of paperwork he claims to be “new evidence.”
