Jenelle Evans has reportedly filed for separation from her husband, David.

TMZ reports that although legal steps have been taken, divorce isn’t necessarily on the table. But is likely the “natural progression” of things.

Reports allege that the reason for Jenelle filing for separation include “erratic behavior, substance abuse, refusal to work” and more. The filing also talks about the abuse charges David is currently facing after he was accused by her oldest son Jace.

Although Jenelle has consistently denied any neglect or abuse, this latest move tells a different story. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, last year Jace ran away from home multiple times, reportedly as a result of his home life.

On April 18, former Teen Mom star, Jenelle Evans, took to her Instagram Story to share that she was on her way to a doctor’s appointment to have a procedure done on her esophagus. She had been suffering from lung problems for years before doctors found a small spot on her right lung caused by aspiration.

“I am this close to falling off the deep end. I know I’m smiling right now but the light inside of me is dying,” the 31-year-old mother said in her Instagram Story in April, following the procedure. She ended up going to the procedure alone and complained of having no support – ultimately asking her followers for prayers.

After suffering esophagus spasms for several months, Jenelle Evans is finally receiving some answers to her recent health problems. In a new Instagram Story posted on May 7, Evans enlightened her followers that she had been diagnosed with thymic hyperplasia and liver lesions after her latest doctor appointment.

“#HealthUpdate Found out I have thymic hyperplasia and lesions on my liver, and no I don’t have MG like they thought. Don’t know why this is happening,” Evans said – she was misdiagnosed with Myasthenia gravis (MG) last year. “Discussing these results next week with my doc and the next steps,” she added.

The update comes just one day after Jenelle Evans expressed her frustration over not having a diagnosis or reason for her esophagus spasms. “Good news: I don’t have acid reflux. Bad news: They still don’t know why I have esophagus spasms,” she said. Her persistence paid off as they now have a diagnosis.

Thymic hyperplasia is often associated with MG, but they are two completely different conditions. Thymic hyperplasia is characterized by inflammation of the thymus gland – which is a small gland located behind the sternum and between the lungs that produces white blood cells (T-cells) for the immune system.

Evans was also diagnosed with liver lesions – which are abnormal growths and cell abnormalities inside the liver. While symptoms are generally mild with small lesions, patients can experience abdominal pain, fatigue, loss of appetite, feeling full, yellowing of the skin, and stomach lumps as the lesions grow larger.

Jenelle Evans Was Also Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia in March 2022

Jenelle Evans has struggled with health complications for several years, including chronic pain that led to her diagnosis of fibromyalgia in March 2022. She revealed the diagnosis in an exclusive interview with E! News and spoke about some of the symptoms she has experienced over the past couple of years.

“I now know why my body is acting the way it does and it explains a lot. I never knew what fibromyalgia was until my doctor diagnosed me,” she said to E! News at the time. “For as long as I can remember, I would get extremely bad tension headaches and full body aches—like I had the flu, but was not sick.”

In addition to her headaches and full-body aches, Evans suffered from sinus problems, neck pain, back pain, and more. “My entire body gets in so much pain and sometimes I lay in bed and cry. [For] a long time, no one believed my symptoms until I got a second opinion from a new neurologist recently.”
