Jenelle Evans‘ family drama continues. Evans and her husband, David Eason, lost custody of their daughter, Ensley, 2, as well as Evans’ two older children, Jace, 9, and Kaiser, 5, in May after Eason shot and killed the family dog. As a result of the violent episode, the house was deemed unsafe for the kids and they were removed from the couple’s custody. Currently, Evans’ mom, Barbara, has custody of Jace and Ensley. (Her ex Nathan Griffith has custody of Kaiser).
As viewers of Teen Mom are well aware, Evans’ relationship with Barbara has always been a bit volatile, and that hasn’t changed during this custody battle. Evans and Eason recently called 911 on Barbara for allegedly locking Ensley in a room.
“David and I were on FaceTime with Jace when we heard my mom say to Ensley, ‘Come here, I have to take a shower.’ Then she took Ensley in the other room, and we immediately heard her screaming and crying,” Evans exclusively shared with Us Weekly.
“We asked Jace what was going on, and he said my mom locked Ensley in the bedroom so she can take a shower,” Evans continued. “We told Jace to get the door open, and when he couldn’t get the door open, we called 911 for help because all we could hear was Ensley screaming.”
On the recording of the 911 call, which was shared with TMZ (and is embedded above), you can hear Eason describing the above situation to the operator. “[Ensley] has been screaming on the phone for the past five to 10 minutes,” he told them. Eason asked if the dispatcher could report the incident to child protective services. The dispatcher said no, but that Eason could do that when a police officer followed-up with him.
A source told TMZ that Barbara got Ensley out of the locked room before the police came to the house. Us Weekly reached out to Barbara about the incident but did not receive a response.
