Jeffrey Vandergrift – an on-air radio personality for WiLD 94.9 – was last seen on February 23 and was considered ‘at-risk’ after his wife reported him missing. The 54-year-old was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2021, which resulted in him experiencing ‘brain fog, dizziness, migraines, and blurred vision’ recently.
According to his wife Natasha Yi, who also appears on WiLD 94.9, ‘personal information’ and recent discoveries by the police have her thinking she may never see her husband again. While she didn’t go into detail about what those discoveries are – at the request of police – she has almost given up hope.
On Wednesday, Natasha wrote a statement that was shared by WiLD 94.9 on Twitter – where she thanked everyone for their love and support, while also sharing her newfound belief that JV (as her husband was known by) ‘will not be coming back.’ According to police, he’s still officially listed as missing.
“Thank you to our friends and our entire i-HeartRadio family and listeners for your love, support and prayers. I can feel your love and energy for JV, and I am grateful for it. The amount of compassion for the physical torture JV has been going through for the past 2 years has been overwhelming,” Natasha wrote.
She expressed how painful and fearful this experience has been and continues to be – emotions she knows many of her listeners have felt, as well. She called the WiLD 94.9 community her family before sharing the heartbreaking news. “I tell you this with incredible pain and sadness in my heart,” she wrote.
Natasha also revealed that the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) doesn’t suspect any foul play in his disappearance and expressed her gratitude to the police officers and investigators who have assisted in the search. Many social media users have commented on their fondest memories of Jeffery Vandergrift.
“Please forgive my silence during this time – my heart is utterly broken, and the pain feels unbearable. I will do my best to provide updates, and I ask for you to please keep JV in your thoughts and prayers,” she concluded – asking those with any information about his disappearance to call 514-575-444 or text TIP411.
Jeffrey Vandergrift Hasn’t Used a Cell Phone or Credit Cards
While Natasha Yi hasn’t revealed why she believes Jeffrey Vandergrift won’t be coming back, WiLD 94.9 co-hosts Graham and Selena confirmed that there has been no activity on his credit cards, cell phone, or bank statements – which they called ‘scary.’ This comes after police declined to mention that fact.
“Our investigation involves trying to see any clues for the usage of electronics, seeing the usage of his electronic funds, and we’re not disclosing any of that information that we may or may not have found, but that is part of the investigation,” said one police officer on Monday when asked about the investigation.
One user on Twitter wrote, “Absolutely heartbreaking ????. @JV brought his light to all of his listeners. Lifted us up when he was struggling himself.” The memories continue to pour in as listeners and fans eagerly await more information – hopeful that it’s good news, but his wife’s statement questions that.

“Amazed how much of a connection @JV made with us despite knowing him personally. He truly cared for us. Moments I will remember: Him and @RadioElvis guiding us thru 9/11 & when JV reached out to me when my dog passed away. He didn’t have to, but that shows you who he really is,” wrote one user.
