Jay-Z and his 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, are no strangers to the Super Bowl – having made several appearances at the big game since Jay-Z partnered with the NFL in 2019. He’s normally there as a spectator to ensure the musical entertainment is on point, he had another role on Sunday – cameraman.
The hilarious girl Dad moment was caught on video as he was seen in the corner of the endzone taking a photo of his daughter for social media. He wasn’t playing around with it, either – taking it seriously enough to crouch down to get all the right angles with a smile on his face as others crowded around the field.
Unfortunately, his daughter wasn’t really feeling it when she caught a glimpse of the end product. Towards the end of the video, she walks over to take a look at the photo, but her face says it all – maybe he should stick to music because photography isn’t quite cutting it for him. It’s something many fathers can relate to.

Many in the comments were quick to point out what Blue Ivy was heard saying when she saw the photo – “Was it live?” she said. Social media users were seeing the similarities between her and her mother, Beyoncé, who likely would’ve said the same thing. Not only that, but she looks like both of her parents!
At the Super Bowl, Jay-Z was seen wearing Roc Nation apparel – supporting his entertainment agency, which he founded in 2008. His daughter was wearing a Tupac t-shirt with red and white Nikes. The pair were both decked out in black sunglasses and mostly-all-black apparel as they enjoyed the festivities.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z first met in 2000, but didn’t start dating until 2001 and eventually did a song together – ‘03 Bonnie & Clyde – in 2002. They dated for the next six years until discreetly tying the knot in 2008 without publicity. They kept their relationship fairly private until 2013, when they became more public.
They were due for a child sometime in 2010, but suffered a miscarriage. The following year, she surprisingly got pregnant while in Paris – Blue Ivy Carter was born on January 7, 2012. They welcomed a set of twins – a daughter named Rumi and a son named Sir – on June 13, 2017. They have 3 kids today.
Blue Ivy Has Been Making More Public Appearances Lately
Blue Ivy has come a long way in the past few years as she grows up in front of everyone’s eyes. Not too long ago, she didn’t want to be photographed by anyone, but now she’s as photogenic as ever and loves making public appearances with her mom and dad – the Super Bowl being one of those appearances.
In January 2022, she performed with her mother on-stage at an invitation-only concert – her first concert in nearly four years. The iconic mother-daughter duo performed a duet of ‘Brown Skin Girl.’ “Where are all my brown skin girls? Give it up for my baby, my brown skin girl, Miss Blue Ivy Carter,” said Beyoncé.
Blue Ivy was also featured in the music video for that song – an appearance that resulted in her winning her first Grammy for Best Music Video. She became the second-youngest artist to ever win a Grammy with her writing credit for the song – the youngest was Leah Peasall, who won a Grammy at 8 years old.

A few months later, the duo took to the stage again (it was actually a tennis court) to perform ‘Be Alive’ at the 94th Academy Awards. Blue Ivy didn’t sing, but she was seen dancing with the backup dancers and was later seen sitting beneath her mother as she concluded the hit song on a small pedestal/stage.
