Jana Kramer has filed for divorce from Mike Caussin. On Wednesday, the country singer and actor shared announced the split in an emotional social media post in which she declared, “it’s time.”
The couple had been together for six years and share two young children together.
“I Have Nothing Else to Give,” Jana Kramer Said in a Heartfelt and Candid Social Media Post Sharing the Divorce News with Her Fans.
“‘It’s time.’ As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, those words have now become a reality,” Jana Kramer shared on Instagram. “I’ve fought y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give.”
“Please know that I still believe wholeheartedly in marriage, love, and rebuilding. I just can’t fight any longer. It’s time to heal,” her message also said. “Thank you for all the love, heart, and support, in many ways you have fought on this journey alongside me, and for that I am grateful. I’ll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can’t fight it alone. ????”
Many of her fans wondered what could cause the split. Recently, a source told People, it was due to infidelity.
“He cheated and broke her trust again,” the insider told the outlet. “After fighting for the marriage for so long, she’s come to terms with the realization that his patterns were never going to change.”
“The focus now is on their kids,” they add, referring to the couple’s children Jolie Rae, 5, and Jace Joseph, 2.
The divorce news comes just seven months after the couple released their book The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice for Loving Faithfully about strengthening their marriage after the former football player underwent treatment for sex addiction.

In the book Caussin admits to being somewhat of a player when it comes to dating, saying that he has only seriously dated a handful of women.
“Most of my relationships can be more described as ‘talking to,’ which essentially means we were sleeping together but I never committed enough to get my feelings involved,” he wrote. “And when I did commit, I inevitably cheated. I couldn’t be alone.”
Kramer has been very open about Caussin’s multiple affairs in the past, specifically those in 2016, the same year the two separated. She even wrote about her experience at the time.
“The pain consumed my every thought and physically hurt me more than I thought I could handle,” the singer wrote in an essay for Good Morning America at the time. “Thinking back, it seems like a terrible nightmare that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”

Not every marriage lasts forever and that’s okay. What’s more important is that you try and fight, which both Kramer and Caussin did. While it might not have been successful, at least these two tried to mend their relationship.
That being said, it does seem like Kramer feels rather damaged by her husband’s action as she used the word “heal” in her message to fans. We hope that her “good fight” is met with support from those around her and millions of adoring fans.
