This Halloween season is going to be one for the history books as we get to witness Jamie Lee Curtis reprise her role of Laurie Strode one last time in Halloween Ends. It’s the 13th and final installment in the Halloween series, which first began in 1978 with the original Halloween.
Jamie Lee Curtis made a name for herself in the series, appearing in seven of the films. Not only will this be her last time as Strode, but it’ll be Nick Castle’s final appearance as Michael Myers. The film was released on October 11th, but won’t be available in the US until the 14th.
In anticipation of the film, Jamie Lee Curtis spoke about her time as Laurie Strode in an interview with TODAY. “They’ve come up with a very good way to end this ‘thrillogy.’ We’ve made three films, I think it completes the story in a sad, interesting way,” she said of the series.

The newest installment will feature a lot of plot twists, so fans should prepare themselves for quite the journey as they make their way through the film. Those that enjoyed the original will be extremely satisfied with the production, which furthers the story we’ve all grown to love dearly.
She added that there are a lot of ‘nods’ to the original 1978 film. “The Easter Eggs are pretty evident. It’s like when you have 2-year-olds and you’re doing an Easter Egg hunt and you literally put them next to the trash can. You’re not hiding them,” said Curtis in the interview.
Jamie Lee Curtis showed appreciation for all the people she met and worked with during the making of the Halloween series – as well as all the fans that supported her. I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of people who’ve made these films and who I consider friends.”
And just in case you were wondering what Jamie Lee Curtis would do if she met Michael Myers in real life, she gave us an answer. “I think she’d walk right by him, because I think she knows everything about him. I don’t even think he’d raise his knife. She’d walk right through him.”
What Else Did Jamie Lee Curtis Say in Her TODAY Interview?
Reprising her role as Laurie Strode wasn’t the only topic of discussion between Jamie Lee Curtis and TODAY. She was also very candid and honest about her opinion on the natural aging process, plastic surgery, BOTOX, promoting kindness, positivity, and so much more.
The actress has always been a big believer in the aging process, despite many people today doing whatever possible to avoid aging. She learned from experience that BOTOX and plastic surgery might reduce the wrinkles on your face, but it doesn’t help your appearance much.
“I did plastic surgery. I put Botox in my head. Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine,” she told TODAY. Her personal advice to her daughters is to never mess with the face. “Walk a mile in my shoes. I have done it. It did not work.”
She also spoke about finding a positive balance in what has become an increasingly negative world. She believes in promoting kindness and finding happiness, but adds that ‘life is pain’ and ‘there are wars going on, there are children dying of cancer every day.’
