Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith aren’t done adding to their family – before you ask, no they’re not having a third child. They are, however, welcoming a new furry friend into the mix – a tan and white puppy named Lucco. Jada revealed the news with a close-up photo of the new pup on Instagram on Aug. 29.
“Say hi to Lucco … my new rescue,” she wrote in the caption. The new rescue joins the family’s French bulldog named Bandit, which was a 49th birthday gift to Jada from famous dog trainer Cesar Millan. She took to Instagram in 2020 to share the first pics of her new puppy after they went for an exhausting walk.
In addition to their two dogs, Will and Jada share two children together – son Jaden Smith, 25, and daughter Willow Smith, 22. The couple started dating in 1995, got engaged in November 1997, and tied the knot the following month. Will also shares a 30-year-old son, Trey Smith, with Sheree Zampino.

The new puppy comes just four months after Facebook Watch canceled the popular talk show Red Table Talk – which featured Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Jada’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris. The show ran for five seasons and totaled 129 episodes between May 7, 2018 and December 19, 2022.
While the show has been canceled, Jada is finding a way to stay busy. In just six weeks, the 51-year-old will be releasing her new memoir titled Worthy – the release date is currently set for October 17. She promises to take back her narrative and talk about her life through her own eyes – and no one else’s.
“On October 17th, I invite you into a journey that, understandably, many think they already know,” she wrote in an Instagram caption promoting the upcoming memoir – which is 416 pages long and is being published by Dey Street Books. “This fall, with deep humility and respect, I will take back my narrative.”
The book discusses her difficult upbringing in Baltimore, her relationship to Tupac, her marriage to Will Smith, her controversial life in Hollywood, and everything in-between – her ‘youth, meaningful friendships, marriage, motherhood, self-betrayal, and self-reclamation.’ If you want to know her story, it’s coming!
Jada Pinkett Smith Reminds Us That We’re All Worthy
In her new memoir, Jada Pinkett Smith details the many ups and downs she has encountered during her search for happiness – ups and downs that many of us can relate to during our own search for happiness. She wants to use her book as a reminder that we’re all worthy of finding everything that we’re looking for.
“My hope is that through the exploration of my own tumultuous situations to the rediscovery of deep love, that we are all reminded that no matter where we may be on our journey, we are all…Worthy,” Smith wrote on June 29. “It’s a harrowing ride of reclaiming my self-worth while unraveling unspoken truths.”
