Ireland Baldwin is preparing to have her first child with boyfriend Andre Allen Anjos, better known as RAC. The couple has been together since 2021 and made the pregnancy announcement on New Year’s Eve, just one month ago. Since then, the mother-to-be has talked candidly about her pregnancy journey.
Baldwin, who turned 27 years old last October, recently appeared on the Girlboss Radio podcast with host Avery Francis. She opened up about becoming a parent for the first time, some of the struggles she has experienced since getting pregnant, and how pregnancy is (or isn’t) going to affect her modeling career.
Of course, that all took the backseat when Ireland decided to reveal her little nugget’s name to the world for the first time – “We’re naming her Holland. I’m Ireland, so another country name because we wanted to keep that consistent,” she said, adding her love for actress Holland Taylor as extra inspiration.

“I’ve always loved that name since I was young, I just thought that was such a classy, beautiful name, so we’re going with Holland,” Ireland Baldwin reiterated. There you have it, the baby’s name is Holland – and we love it! The name ‘Holland’ derives from the Dutch words for ‘forest’ and ‘land,’ or ‘wooded land.’
She went on to explain how a lot of her excitement regarding the baby is ‘centered around a lot of things I really wanted in terms of stability as a child myself that I didn’t have.’ Ireland is the lone daughter of Alec Baldwin and his ex-wife, Kim Basinger – she has been open about her struggles throughout childhood.
“What’s kind of exciting is I get to raise this little human and do things completely differently than what I was taught was the norm,” Ireland explained on Girlboss Radio. “It’s cool that I get to unconditionally love this person and do my best to make her as equipped for this world and badass as possible.”
Ireland isn’t the only one welcoming a new child into the family. Her father, Alec, welcomed his seventh child with his wife, Hilaria Baldwin – the couple gave birth to their third daughter, Ilaria Cataline Irena, on September 22 of last year, and the little nugget is already four months old. He’s now a father to 8 total!
Ireland Baldwin Opens Up About Pregnancy Struggles
It’s no secret that Ireland Baldwin can’t wait to be a mother, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t faced any adversity or struggle during her pregnancy. It’s something she recently opened up about in a lengthy Instagram post, which was published on January 18. Like always, she didn’t hold back in the slightest.
The caption read, “This s**t is HARD. And you’re not alone if you feel the same. And it’s ok to be REAL and post highlight reels. It’s ok to be happy and sad at the same time. I am grateful, but I am struggling, and that’s perfectly ok,” before sharing a long message that took five slides to get through.
“I underestimated just how hard pregnancy would be on my mind and my body. Being someone who deals with extreme health anxiety on a daily basis, pregnancy turned things into a high gear. I’ve struggled to adapt to these changes. Bodily sensations. Pains and aches,” said Ireland in the post.

She spoke highly of her boyfriend, saying she ‘would have lost [her] mind’ without him. “He’s everything and more to me, but man, it’s hard moving somewhere with no family. It’s hard not being really close to family to begin with because they live far or are idiots that I want nothing to do with,” she continued.
