Identical Twin Sisters Miraculously Give Birth At The Same Time

Identical twin sisters are overjoyed after their double deliveries at the same hospital— which were only 28 hours apart.

Kehinde Adedayo and Taiwo Aluko were sent home with healthy newborns after they both gave birth two weeks ago.

Back in June, the sisters surprised each other with their positive pregnancy tests.

“I wanted to surprise Kehinde and have my little girl bring her the positive pregnancy test when she was least expecting it,” Aluko shared with CBS DFW.

“Little did we know, she had the very same surprise planned for me when her two-year-old son brought me her positive test at the same time that evening.”

Early in the month, both sisters went into labor and were rushed to the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth.

Adedayo gave birth to her daughter, Zoey, who was born weighing 7 lbs., 21.5 oz. on February 7 9:24 p.m. And just a day later, Aluko, gave birth to her son, Tony, on February 9 at 1:24 a.m. He was born weighing 7 lbs., 20 oz.

Nurse Shelby Jones at Texas Health Southwest noted the moment was unbelievably unique. Especially at a time when many are unable to give birth surrounded by loved ones due to the pandemic.

“It’s rewarding to serve as an extension of people’s families during the pandemic,” she shared.

The sisters relocated from Nigeria to Arlington, Texas, close to nine years ago. They plan to raise the little ones together.

“We were both shocked and so excited to go through this journey together,” Adedayo said.
