On April 18, Orsolya Gaal’s family was hit with more shocking information just two days after she was found dead. According to WPIX, investigators are still trying to piece together what happened and who sent the text message.
As reports allege, Gaal’s body was discovered on April 16. The 51-year-old was found in a duffle bag roughly half a mile away from her Queens, New York home.
Gaal was a mother of two teenage boys. While the medical examiner is still determining her cause of death, Gaal’s husband said he received a terrifying text message not long after his wife’s body was discovered.

The text reported read, “Your whole family is next.” The suspect also accused Gaal of sending him to jail years ago before threatening their lives should they go to the police again.

It is unclear if Gaal’s family or the police are aware of anyone she may have sent to jail. Gaal’s husband and oldest son were away for the weekend looking at colleges and she reportedly told her youngest son she was leaving to see a show.
Police believe Gaal did know her killer and that she was murdered in her basement before she was dragged out of her home in the duffle bag. A man walking his dog near Metropolitan Avenue and Jackie Robinson Parkway discovered the duffle bag.
A trail of blood led police to Gaal’s home. Her youngest son, 13, was removed from the home in handcuffs and brought in for questions. He has since been released.
While an official autopsy report has yet to be released, a police source told The New York Post that Gaal sustained 60 stab wounds to her neck, torso, and left arm. The source claimed there were also defensive wounds on her fingers and the palms of her hands.
The Post claims there is a video of a dark figure lugging the duffle bag down the street where Gaal was found. Gaal’s husband, Howard Klein, founder of RK Equity Advisors, told The Post, ”[My son] Leo is safe. Thank God [my son] is safe.”
Klein then added that his family’s “lives are at stake. There are concerns about our safety. Our lives are at risk.” It’s unclear if the police have any suspects at this point in time. No arrests have been made as of April 18.
