A clip released last week from the dramatic finale of Mama June: From Not to Hot (WE TV) showed daughter Honey Boo Boo begging her mom to go to rehab following an arrest for crack cocaine. Mama June and her boyfriend Geno Doak were arrested in March following a domestic incident. Police found controlled substances and drug paraphernalia on the scene. Now, another one of Mama June’s daughters, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, is speaking out.
The family was torn apart after Mama June left to be with Geno and started doing drugs. In the clip heard ’round the world, Honey Boo Boo pleaded with her mom, sharing that she was staying with Pumpkin because she felt unsafe at her mother’s house. Following the arrest and continued drug use, Pumpkin has been granted temporary custody over Honey Boo Boo, 13.
