Honey Boo Boo is only 13, but she’s already built up quite a fortune after being featured on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Many people, including her close family, have been concerned in recent months about Honey Boo Boo’s assets after multiple reports of Mama June’s drug use and her ongoing volatile relationship with her boyfriend, Geno Doak. In addition to being arrested for domestic violence and drug use, the couple is also known to go to casinos regularly and has been seen hitting the slot machines. Those close to Honey Boo Boo want to make sure her mom wasn’t gambling her money away.
Luckily, family sources told TMZ that Honey Boo Boo recently hired an attorney to move her money into a separate account that Mama June won’t be able to access. The same sources said that Honey Boo Boo’s sister, Pumpkin, with whom she is living, will have access to the account, but she is only allowed to use the money for Honey Boo Boo’s benefit. If any money is spent, Pumpkin needs to show “proof of receipts” to ensure the funds are being used properly.
So it seems like Honey Boo Boo’s money, at least for the time being, won’t disappear into a slot machine at the hands of her mom and her mom’s boyfriend. Phew!
After her mother’s drug arrest and the family’s failed intervention to get Mama June into rehab and to break up with her boyfriend, Honey Boo Boo moved in with Pumpkin and her family. Mama June has been in a downward spiral after being arrested for crack cocaine, and Honey Boo Boo felt unsafe living in her house.
