Hilary Duff recently shared a laughable text exchange with her 8-year-old son, Luca Cruz, where he asks for more money for his beloved Roblox game.
Kids are home and most likely, bored, leading to their obsession with games such as Roblox and Fortnite and Duff gets it.
“Text from my 8 year olds iPad ……lol ????????????????,” she captioned the text exchange that she shared to Instagram in which Luca asks her for $4. “Went a litttttle crazy on iTunes last month.”
Many parents shared their own experiences in the comment section.
One commenter advised Hilary to ensure her iTunes account is password-protected. “Just make sure they don’t know your cc information or Apple ID password,” she said. “We learned the hard way . . .”

“Roblox is everything is this house. Butttt he now completes his chore chart every day for $5 of roblox money a week ???????? I’ll mark that as a win for me,” wrote one parent.
Amidst the pandemic, the Duff and her family have been continuing to social distancing and take precautions.
The actress and singer says she and her family, which include Luca, husband Matthew Koma and their daughter, Banks Violet, 20 months — are staying up to date with guidelines surrounding the coronavirus pandemic from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
That being said, when it comes to Luca heading into the third grade, they are taking it one step at a time.
“Luca goes to private school, and we’re just waiting to see what happens,” says Duff, 32. “For his emotional well-being, I think it would be great if he could go back to school, but also it depends on what that looks like.”
“If it’s just strictly learning and no social interaction … I guess I would let him make the choice,” she adds. “If he was going and it was super sterile and it wasn’t benefiting him [in a social way], I would be up for remote learning again.”
