For most parents, getting through this crazy time in one piece means keeping their kids safe in their home and finding things to do inside the home that will keep them occupied from the time they wake up to the time they go to bed.
And as Hilary Duff revealed on her Instagram story earlier this week, one of the things she and her 8-year-old son Luca have been doing is playing in her makeup. In a series of videos shared to her Instagram page, Duff revealed that she and her son Luca kept busy for a few hours when Luca decided he wanted to give his mom a makeover.

As Duff told her followers, “I’m getting my makeup done by an 8-year-old,” as Luca applied a shade of eyeshadow to her eyelids. When she asked him what color he was using and what palette it was from, Luca told his mom she couldn’t know until the look was completed.
Eventually, when it all was said and done, Duff shared a snap of the finished look. “It’s subtle; it’s unique,” the mom of two said of her son’s work. “I’ve never done makeup like this before, but I like it. Especially the left upper part.”
We have to admit, while Luca could use a little bit more practice when it comes to applying lipstick, he didn’t do too bad with the eyeshadow. Don’t you kind of dig the two-toned look?
In addition to allowing her kids to do her makeup, Duff and Luca also celebrated his 8th birthday and her youngest child, Banks, started her very own baby book club. Along with a photo of a stack of her daughter’s favorite reads, Duff asked her mommy-fans, “What are you and your baby reading???”
“Some are new and some are favorites from when Luca was little. RBG and Littles are real favorites right now,” Duff continued. And early on, Duff also revealed that they are taking this time to get Banks out of her diapers and onto the potty.

Nonetheless, while Duff is doing her best to keep her children engaged while we are all encouraged to stay home to stop the spread of COVID-19, Duff leaves these encouraging words, “One more day down! To every parent out there, we are lucky to be healthy. Also, damn these days are long.”
