E! News reports that the HGTV star has also changed her last name to Hall on her real estate license. According to reports, Christina and Josh first got together in March 2021, the same year her divorce from her second husband Ant Anstead was finalized. Christina and Ant officially separated in September 2020.
While the first few months of their relationship remained private, the couple has been more open about their lives together over the last several months. She has shared photos of the two of them together and of Hall with her three children, whom she shares with her first two husbands.
This special news also comes after Christina and her first husband Tarek El Moussa have announced that this season of their HGTV show Flip or Flop will be its’ last.
On July 8, Christina addressed her relationship with Josh for the first time on social media. She explained where she was personally and mentally when their paths crossed for the first time.
“I met Josh when I wasn’t in a state of fear or fight-or-flight … I had taken time off social, hired a spiritual coach, and smoked a Bufo toad (which basically reset my brain and kicked out years of anxiety in 15 minutes). When we met this past spring, the synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore,” Christina wrote.
However, given the media storm she knew this would cause, Christina admitted she wanted to keep him to herself for as long as she could. “I felt immediately crazy protective over him and wanted to keep him for myself and get to know each other before the tornado (media attention) hit. We’ve had a few solid months of just us getting to know each other and I’ve loved every second of it.”
The HGTV star continued by recalling the first time the paparazzi cameras caught them. “When I saw a camera behind us at the airport my heart started beating out of my chest and my hands shaking. And not for me but for him. I know they dig and dig and I didn’t ever want to see him stress over the media stalking him and his family. Which obviously has already begun to an uncomfortable degree.”
“We decided what’s in the past, is in the past,” Christina also wrote. “We aren’t looking at all the nonsense online. The internet and social are great for businesses or staying up to date on family and friends but also, can be toxic and (let’s be real) pretty fake.”
“I may be a bit crazy and I’m definitely not perfect but I will never live my life based on other people’s judgments or opinions. We pride ourselves on never judging others and always wanting others to be happy and we wish others would have the same respect. Josh doesn’t have social media, but I want to thank him for whisking me away on a romantic tropical vacation he planned entirely on his own. So yes ‘another relationship’ and guess what, I’m 38, I’ll do what I want.”
And it should be any other way. Congratulations to the happy new couple!
