Gisele Bündchen is speaking out after the passing of her beloved mom.

A hospital in Brazil has shared some heartbreaking news. According to a statement shared by Hospital Moinhos de Vento, it’s been confirmed that Gisele Bündchen’s mom has passed away, People reports.
The statement revealed that Vânia Nonnenmacher passed away following a battle with cancer. Vânia passed away on Sunday January 28 after being admitted to the hospital on Friday, January 26.
Vânia was 75 years old.
Several months ago in September, while talking with People, Bündchen opened up about caring for her parents as they both struggled with health issues. “It’s been a lot — in every area of my life,” she told People at the time. “I feel like whenever it rains, it pours.
“With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings.”
Gisele often referred to her mom as her “hero,” like she did in a 2010 blog post, People reported. “She is the reason why I believe a woman is the core of a family … I can only hope to be for my kids what she will and always be for us … Our rock.”
Bündchen has not yet publicly spoken about her mom’s passing. Our hearts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.
