Legal documents obtained by TMZ are showing that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex are suing paparazzi over a photo of their 1-year-old son Archie.
According to the court documents, Harry and Meghan are furious that paparazzi were able to snap an unauthorized photo of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor despite the “extensive measures” the took to ensure that would never happen. The picture was reportedly taken in the backyard of their Los Angeles home.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Sue Paparazzo Over Unauthorized Photo of Archie
Despite installing a large mesh fence around the property, an unnamed photographer managed to capture images of Archie at his home anyway. The paparazzo’s actions “crossed a red line for any parent,” the documents read.
Meghan and Harry are also accusing the paparazzo of lying about where the photos were taken. According to TMZ, the anonymous photographer is claiming that he snapped the photos during a public outing in Malibu.
However, according to Meghan and Harry, Archie hasn’t been in public since the moved to LA. They believe the paparazzo is lying because they know “unsolicited photographs of a young child in the privacy of his own home are very much unlawful.”
A source says the photo was snapped in the yard of producer Tyler Perry’s LA mansion, as the family of three has been staying there. TMZ reports that Perry’s home is located in a gated community, which makes it somewhat shocking that the photog was able to get into the secure community undetected.
According to BuzzFeed, the photos were snapped via a drone, something the famous family deals with often. “Some media outlets have flown drones a mere 20 feet above the house as often as three times a day,” the documents reportedly stated.
Meghan and Harry went on to say that as Archie’s parents they reserve the right to decide which pictures of their son are issued to the public. They admitted that they only post images of Archie on social media to lower the “bounty” on unauthorized pictures of him.
“This action arises out of the relentless and quite frankly shocking efforts of the tabloid media to profit from serial intrusions on the privacy of a 14-month-old child in his own home, and the desire and responsibility of any parent to do what is necessary to protect their children from this manufactured feeding frenzy.”
