OUAI founder and hairstylist to the stars Jen Atkin and her photographer husband, Mike Rosenthal, welcomed their very first child together. The stylish mom announced the arrival of her baby boy on Sunday via Instagram. Atkin and her husband conceived via surrogacy.
Along with some details about her new little “man,” Atkin used her platform to raise money for children living in poverty.

“Never say never! Meet River Julién Rosenthal 7.10 lbs born 3/5/21,” the stylist wrote on Instagram, along with photos of her husband cuddling with their new baby boy.
“We are so in love with this little man ♥️????,” Atkin gushed.
The creator of Mane Addicts, an online resource center and community for hairstylists and consumers, asked her friends, family, and fans to donate to a charity rather than send gifts. In the gallery-style Instagram post, she shared information about Baby2Baby an organization that strives to help families in poverty by sending them essentials like diapers and school supplies.
“To keep our quiet peaceful love bubble at home (aka NO barking at the door) we’re asking in lieu of gifts please please visit our donation link (in my bio) in River’s name,” she requested. “We truly don’t need a thing (our parents have been waiting for this day for so long they bought it all) Help us and @baby2baby provide children living in poverty with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.”
“We love you guys and are editing our Surrogate Journey video in [between] feedings. Stay tuned ♥️???? (ps I told y’all I’m good at keeping secrets),” Atkin wrote in conclusion.
Needless to say, the surprise baby caused a stir with many fans and even celebrity friends lighting up the comments.
“Congratulations my boo bear!! I love you!! I love River!! I’m so happy for you!!” said Khloé Kardashian, who recently disclosed more details on Keeping Up with the Kardashians about having a second child.
Another familiar voice from Kardashian-world, Kendall Jenner, expressed her joy for Atkin with a series of heart emojis.
Emily Ratajkowski, who just welcomed her first son as well, wrote, “Congrats lovely!”
Modern Family alum Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who is yet another parent to welcome a son via surrogacy, wrote, “Finally!”
