Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik Are Reportedly Expecting Their First Child

It seems as if that “quarantine baby boom” people have been wondering about is starting sooner than anyone could have expected. This month alone, we’ve gotten celebrity pregnancy announcements from Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, Lea Michele and her husband, Aaron Carter and his girlfriend, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin, and Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth, to name a few.

And now, according to TMZ, model Gigi Hadid and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, are expecting a child together.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik Are Reportedly Expecting Their First Child

TMZ claims that “family sources” close to Hadid and Malik confirmed they are expecting and shared that Hadid is currently 20 weeks along.

These sources say that they don’t know if the couple yet knows the sex of their baby-to-be, but add that both Hadid and Malik — as well as their families — are excited about the baby news.

Entertainment Tonight is also confirming the news. According to the outlet, a source tells them, “Gigi and Zayn are expecting their first child together and the couple is very excited!”

ET’s source adds: “Gigi has kept the secret close to her family and friends for a while as she’s only a few months along. Once Gigi and Zayn got back together at the end of last year it was like they never skipped a beat and knew what they had was special. The couple and their families are overjoyed.”

Hadid and Malik began dating in 2015 and have been on-again, off-again since then. The pair reportedly rekindled their romance (for good?) in late 2019, and they have been spotted together a few times since then.

Last week, Hadid celebrated her 25th birthday with her “quarantine family,” including Malik, and shared a looped video to Instagram showing the couple together (embedded near the top of this post).

Congratulations to the couple! Becoming a parent for the first time is always equally exciting and scary, and we have a feeling they’re up for the challenge.
