Gigi Hadid revealed that she gave birth to her daughter, Khai, in her home — and her family had “terror” in their eyes as they watched.
In Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Hadid shared how her birth plan changed for September when she realized her mother, Yolanda Hadid, and sister, Bella Hadid, could not be present if she gave birth at a hospital in Manhatten.
And in addition to watching the documentary, “The Business of Being Born,” with boyfriend Zayn Malik, the pair decided on doing a home birth.
“I had to dig deep,” Gigi said of delivering her first child in a blow-up bath in her bedroom.
“I knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life, but you have to surrender to it and be like, ‘This is what it is.’ I loved that.”

Hadid said she was coached by both her mom and a midwife during the birth.
“My midwife looked at me and was like, ‘You’re doing it. No one can help you. You’re past the point of the epidural anyway, so you’d be pushing exactly the same way in a hospital bed,’” she shared.
Gigi said she knew Malik, 28, and Bella, 24, were “proud” of her, but “at certain points I saw each of them in terror.”

Malik reported seeing the one you love in pain was a “helpless” feeling.
After the birth, Gigi shared how “Z and I looked at each other and were like, ‘We can have some time before we do that again.'”
Khai was born on Sept. 19.
