In an interview with Jeremy Kyle, which was aired on TalkTV, Ghislaine Maxwell claimed the infamous photo that shows her standing behind Prince Andrew and Virginia Roberts Giuffre is fake. It’s a similar sentiment shared by Andrew, who has made his own claims about the photo being doctored in the past.

An excerpt of the interview, titled Ghislaine Behind Bars, showed Maxwell speaking through a corded telephone. “I don’t believe it’s real for a second. In fact, I’m sure it’s not. There’s never been an original, and further, there is no photograph. I’ve only ever seen a photocopy of it,” she said of the alleged photo.

In an article published in 2022, The Guardian claimed the picture was taken in 2001, which would fall in line with the sexual abuse allegations Giuffre made against Andrew – she claimed she was sex trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with Andrew three different times before 1999 and 2002.

Ghislaine Maxwell, who had a close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein for more than 25 years, is currently serving a 20-year sentence after being found guilty of five sex trafficking-related counts in December 2021. She was transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Tallahassee in Florida last year.

Her interview comes roughly 18 months after Virginia Roberts Giuffre filed her lawsuit against Prince Andrew. “Today my attorney filed suit against Prince Andrew for sexual abuse under the Child Victims Act. As the suit lays out in detail, I was trafficked to him and sexually abused by him,” said Giuffre at the time.

Prince Andrew has maintained his innocence, dating back to a 2019 interview with BBC, where he said he had ‘no recollection’ of ever meeting Giuffre and had ‘absolutely no memory of that photograph being taken.’ It resulted in a lot of negative press for Andrew, causing him to step away from his Royal duties.

In September 2021, his attorney called Giuffre’s lawsuit “baseless, non-viable, and potentially unlawful.” That came just three months before Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty, at which point Queen Elizabeth II stripped her son, Prince Andrew, of his military titles and patronages. He defended his case as a citizen.

Ghislaine Maxwell Also Believes Jeffrey Epstein Was Murdered

In her interview behind bars, Ghislaine Maxwell opened up about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, even saying she wished she ‘never met’ him. Of course, she also believes ‘he was murdered,’ adding she ‘was shocked’ to learn of his death. Epstein allegedly died of suicide on August 10, 2019, inside his cell.

“Then I wondered how it had happened because as far as I was concerned, he was going to, I was sure he was going to appeal. And I was sure he was covered under the non-prosecution agreement. But I wasn’t in the indictment. I wasn’t mentioned. I wasn’t even one of the co-conspirators,” Maxwell added.

Also speaking to Jeremy Kyle, Maxwell shared some kind words for Queen Elizabeth II – who passed away of old age on September 8, 2022. “I thought the queen was one of the most exceptional women I ever had the honor and privilege of meeting,” she said.

Maxwell went on to explain how she wishes she had stayed in England and how she attempted to ‘start another new job and move on from the end of ‘98, ‘99.’ Unfortunately, she didn’t move on completely and now finds herself in a federal prison for the next 15 years.
