The 3-year-old, who is the inspiration behind Union and Dwyane Wade’s Shady Baby picture book, sat alongside her famous mother and began blowing air into her hand. Once Kaavia signaled for her mother to check her breath, Union posed the question, “Is that ’cause my breath stinks?”
With absolutely no hesitation, Kaavia responded, “Yeah.”
Taking to Instagram, the 49-year-old actress posted a reel for fans to see this brutally honest interaction occur. Because of the toddler, the entire world knows that the Being Mary Jane star could use some help with dental hygiene.
“It be your own kids,” was written over the video, accompanied by two laughing emojis. In addition, Union noted in the caption of her post that her daughter is “something else.”
However, this is not the first time Union has shared a hilarious video with her superstar daughter. In January, the actress made sure to let her audience know that the 3-year-old has no problem showcasing her humorous skills. On Instagram, the actress had her daughter play a main role in a hysterical skit.

“Remember we were ordering Aperol spritzes, and it upset your tummy? Do you remember? You said, ‘I don’t do public restrooms,’ and it was a whole thing in Belgium, remember?” Union asked her daughter.
Despite being only 3-years-old, Kaavia proved that she understands comedic timing. Sitting in silence for just the right amount of time to create a rift between her and her mother, she snapped back with the sentiments, “Yes, and that’s how you got out of it.”
The 49-year-old has also been open about the fact that in addition to being quick-witted, Kaavia is quickly reaching milestones in her development.
“Her being able to count, her being able to identify certain words on the page, her being fully potty trained and asking for privacy,” Union listed in an interview, recognizing her daughter’s abilities.
Moreover, Union expressed that Kaavia has learned to search the TV and successfully find videos or shows that interest her. The actress said, “She [Kaavia] could turn on the TV herself and find her very specific YouTube videos that she wants to watch. Yeah, she’s pretty dang dynamic.”
